Ravichandran Ashwin shares IPL 2024 auction predictions in unique style

The cricket fraternity is buzzing over the next Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in 2024, and India's star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the players who has found it difficult to avoid all the excitement. The right-off-spinner have made some audacious predictions about a few players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, which is slated to take place on December 19 in Dubai.

Notably, a plethora of ODI World Cup 2023 winners will be up for auction, with a special focus on Australian players who led their side towards an emphatic win in Indian home soil conditions. However, India's great cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin affirmed that Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc are set to go over 14 crores of rupees in the IPL auction owing to their magnificent performances in the ODI World Cup 2023.

However, the great all-rounder feels Australia star opener Travis Head, was the match winner of the World Test Championship Final and the ODI World Cup 2023, is set to earn from  2 crores to 4 crores in the mega auction. Notably, the left-handed batter hammered the century in the WTC Final and the ODI World Cup 2023 Final and had destroyed Indian bowlers in both events to win the title.

R Ashwin shares price range according to shots:

Defense: 2 -4 crores

Drive: 4 to 7 crores

Pull: 7 to 10 crores

Slog: 10-14 crores

Helicopter shot: 14+ crore

In addition, the Rajsthan Royals star cricketer feels Shahrukh Khan, who was recently released by the Punjab Kings ahead of the auction, will get between 10 and 14 crores in the upcoming auction owing to his recent phenomenal performance. However, one notable name that is also up for grabs is Rachin Ravindra, who performed exceptionally well for New Zealand and led his team to the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup 2023. Ashwin feels that the New Zealand all-rounder might get between Rs. 4 and 7 crores during the auction.

The lower-middle-order batter also predicted that Harshal Patel, has been released by RCB, will fetch between 7 and 10 crore in the auction, and former  KKR bowler Umesh Yadav could possibly come in between 4 and 7 crore.
