Kolkata spinner Sunil Narine missed his flight to India for the upcoming Indian T20 League 2023. He was retained by the two-time winners and is set to play in the tournament. However, as his flight was delayed, he decided to play in Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Premiership Division I tournament. The right-arm spinner turned up for Queen’s Park Cricket Club I against Clarke Road United at the Queen’s Park Oval.
During the game, the two-time Indian T20 League winner bowled seven overs, as many maidens, and took as many wickets. His spell meant that the United was bowled out for 76 runs. In reply, Narine's team amassed a total of 268 for 3 before declaring. The three-time Caribbean Premier League winner with Trinbago Knight Riders has taken 31 wickets including four back-to-back five-wicket hauls in the last three games.
This performance will certainly boost the Kolkata fans ahead of the upcoming season. They will start their season on April Fool's day against Punjab at the PCA stadium, Mohali. Narine is also part of the Trinbago Knight Riders and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, owned by the owners of the Kolkata franchise. Meanwhile, the fans have rejoiced after getting to know about Narine's performance.

Seven Maidens 😏😏. Seven Wickets. IPL is coming. Will he bowl four maidens at least once this year?
