Indian T20 League player mini-auction for the upcoming edition in 2023 is upon us, and with several eye-catching names in the auction pool, former Indian cricketer and one of the most prolific batters in the history of the cash-rich league, Suresh Raina named the players to watch out for in the auction.

Raina singled out Ireland's left-arm fast bowler Joshua Little as a player to watch out for in the upcoming auction. He uttered the name of World Cup winners Ben Stokes and Sam Curran in his first pick. While Stokes was the hero for Jos Buttler's side in the final, Curran had an exceptional tournament with the ball.

“Sam Curran has done well for England as well as for Chennai Super Kings and there is Ben Stokes who has led England well. So having a top all-rounder in your team can change the movement of the game. Watch out for Joshua Little from Ireland. He has done really well in the World Cup just now, and I just played with him," Raina was quoted as saying.

'Jagadeesan has a very good cricketing brain'- Suresh Raina

From the Indian players in the auction, Raina picked left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat and wicketkeeper-batter N Jagadeesan to get big deals. Both players have had major league experiences in the past and, recently, fared very well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

N Jagadeesan has a very good cricketing brain, and he bats so deep and is a very smart, calculative batsman. He has done really well for Tamil Nadu, watch out for him, Then there is Jaydev Unadkat who just won the Vijay Hazare Trophy and has a lot of experience in the Indian T20 League,” he added.

Raina announced his retirement from all formats of the game, earlier, this year, including domestic cricket. Raina played 205 matches in the major league and scored 5528 runs at an average of 32.52 and a strike rate of 136.76. He also smashed a century in the cash-rich league.
