The auction is the initial battle that teams compete in before the start of the Indian T20 League. Every year, the auction is a great puzzle where teams sit and find out their needs and fill them accordingly. The auction for the 2023 edition of the league is all set to take place in mid-December as reported by Cricbuzz. The teams will also have a purse of 95 crores which is 5 crores more than that of the previous year.
Speaking of trade, the Chennai team have reportedly rejected the Delhi team’s approach to trade Ravindra Jadeja. Recently, a tweet from the Gujarat franchise created a fuss in the cricketing world. Fans speculated that Shubman Gill might be traded in for Ravindra Jadeja. However, both teams have rejected the same to Cricbuzz. Indian T20 League 2023 will be an exciting one as a few are speculating that the Gujarat-born all-rounder will part ways with Chennai.
It will be a mini-auction this time given the mega auction took place only last year. The reports further revealed the tentative date for the auction and it might be December 16. The reports further revealed that the Gujarat franchises received trade offers for Sai Kishore and Rahul Tewatia. They have rejected the trade offers and the duo will continue in Gujarat. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly said that the 2023 edition will have a home-away format.

The president of the board further opined on the women’s edition of the Indian T20 League.
