Indian T20 League 2023: Chennai franchise fixtures, time, date, venues, squad

The Indian Cricket Board announced the schedule of the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League tournament on Friday. The latest edition of the Men's T20 League will have 74 matches where ten franchises will compete for the trophy. Defending champions Ahmedabad franchise will take on all-time heroes Chennai franchise in the curtain raiser at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Fans are excited as usual to witness the mega event and this time around, the excitement will be on the roof as teams will be playing matches at their home ground as well. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last edition was played across just four Indian cities. The final of the upcoming Indian T20 League 2023 will be played on May 28th at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Chennai franchise did not have a great year last time but the four-time champions cannot be written off as they are always known for good comebacks. The MS Dhoni-led side is placed in group B - along with Punjab, Gujarat, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.
