Keeping in mind the 20-20 world cup 2022, which is just four months away, the selection committee decided to rest the senior Players for the ODI series. The squad for the T20 series will be announced after the completion of the 5-match T20 series against England.
The Indian team will play a three-match-ODI series followed by a five-match T20 series in the West Indies. After these 10 T20Is teams India will play the Asia Cup which will be contested in the T20 format this year starting 27th August.
With not much time left for the 20-20 world cup, Team India will be looking to finally settle their squad and finalise the team that will be playing in the Marquee tournament this year.
Team India are desperately looking for a spin duo to settle in the squad before both 20-20 and the ODI world cup after the magic of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal faded away.
