The Indian Cricket Team is in focus as we get ever closer to the ODI Cricket World Cup. The focus will be on Rohit Sharma and his team as they aim to win the World Cup after 12 years. Indian team is currently playing in Asia Cup 2023 and is set to play Pakistan on Saturday in the Super 4 Game.

Just before the 2023 ODI World Cup, there was some good news for Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill. The pair have made some massive movements in the latest cricket ratings as published by the apex cricketing body.

Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill have been showing their class in 2023 in the ODI format for India. The pair find themselves in the 15-man squad for the ODI World Cup, which begins on 5th October.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan’s ratings on the rise –

Indian opener Shubman Gill has moved to the third spot in the ODI global ratings. Babar Azam is still rated number 1 with 882 points followed by Rassie Van Der Dussen with 777 points. Shubman Gill has risen to number three with 750 points.

Ishan Kishan has jumped a dozen places to be placed at number 24 from his previous number 36. Kishan has 624 points to his credit and this is his best-ever rating in ODI cricket so far. Virat Kohli is at number 10 with 695 points, while Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has 690 points to be rated at 11th spot.

Shreyas Iyer who just made a comeback is at number 33 with 605 points. Out of favour Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is at 45 and KL Rahul is at number 46 in the table. Dhawan has 552 points, while Rahul has 546 to round off the top 50 ODI batters list, KL Rahul has just passed his fitness test and is set to join the Indian team soon.

Ishan Kishan has played 8 ODI games in 2023 scoring 299 runs with 4 half-centuries. Each of his half-centuries has come in games he has batted in each time. Kishan has an average of 42.7 with a strike rate of 99.

Shubman Gill, on the other hand, has played 14 games this year scoring 827 runs with 3 centuries and 3 fifties. The right-hander has an average of 68 and a strike rate of 105. His best of 208 came against New Zealand during the Hyderabad ODI earlier this year.
