Indian Cricket Board announces Team India's schedule for 2023-24 home season

The Indian Cricket Board on Tuesday (July 25) announced Team India's schedule for the 2023-24 home season. The Men in Blue will host 16 international matches, comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. The campaign begins with a three-match ODI series against Australia, crucial for both teams as they prepare for the ODI World Cup in India later this year.

India are currently on a tour of West Indies - a multi-format series of 2 Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20s. Their next assignment will be the Ireland series in August followed by the Asia Cup in August-September 2023. The first bilateral home series of 2023/24 will begin in Mohali on September 23, while Indore and Rajkot will host the second and third ODIs on September 24 and 27, respectively.

The home campaign will resume with T20I series against Australia on November 23rd in Vizag after the ODI World Cup. The two will face off in five T20 encounters with Trivandrum, Guwahati, Nagpur and Hyderabad have been picked to host the series.

The new year will begin with Afghanistan visiting India for a three-match T20I series starting on January 11. Mohali will host the first match while the next two ODIs will be played in Indore and Bengaluru on January 14 and 17, respectively. India's 2023-24 home campaign will conclude with hosting a five-match Test series against England.

This will be India's second Test series in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle. The first Test will be held in Hyderabad from January 25 to 29. Vizag, Rajkot and Ranchi have been chosen to host the next three Tests, with the final match in Dharamsala from March 7 to 11.
