India Women will take on Pakistan Women in the upcoming Commonwealth Games to be held in Birmingham this year. The arch-rivals will lock horns on July 31st and it will be a game to watch out for. This game has excited even the CEO of the Commonwealth Games. He told PTI that he is looking forward to watching this game. He added that he follows cricket and is a big fan of the game.

“I am a big cricket fan myself. India are in the same group as Pakistan, so that has really caught the interest here in Birmingham. So it would certainly be one of the highlights of the Games.” Commonwealth CEO told PTI. This eventually adds up to the excitement ahead of the most anticipated clash. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the Indian side while Bismah Maroof will lead the Pakistan side.

Squads:

The Indian Women team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy would be Smriti Mandana. The team is a combination of both experienced players and daring youngsters. The squad for the Indian team is as follows:

India Women: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandana (VC), Harleen Deol, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia (WK), Yastika Bhatia (VC), Deepthi Sharma, Sabbineni Meghana, Renuka Singh, Meghna Singh, Radha Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar.

Pakistan Women: Bismah Maroof (c), Mubeena Ali (wk), Anam Amin, Aiman Anwer, Diana Baig, Nida Dar, Gull Feroza (wk), Tuba Hassan, Kainat Imtiaz, Sadia Iqbal, Iram Javed, Ayesha Naseem, Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana, Omaima Sohail.

Date, Timings, and Venue:

The match will be played on July 31, 2022, at 4:30 PM Indian time, 4 PM Pakistan time and 11:00 AM local time. The match will be played at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium in Birmingham.

Live telecast and streaming:

The much awaited Indian Women vs Pakistan Women match will be telecasted by the Sony Sports Network while the online streaming will be presented in their online platform, Sony LIV.
