India, after sealing the moiling T20I series against South Africa, will march on to the ODIs. The latest addition to the Indian squad is Mukesh Kumar, the bowler who plays for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy. Shikhar Dhawan, who led the Indian team in the ODI series against West Indies, is all set to wear the captaincy hat yet again.
On the other hand, South Africa will look to avenge India for the defeat in the T20I series. While Men in Blue will compete with a second-string team in the ODI series, the Proteas is all set to take on team India will a full-strength squad. Dhawan looked in blissful form in the ODI series against West Indies and Zimbabwe. The skipper will look to replicate the same form in the upcoming series and will look to win it for team India.
In the series against Zimbabwe, Dhawan gathered 154 runs at an average of 77 and bagged one fifty to his name. The left-handed batter will make the most of the opportunity and hope to cement his place for the upcoming 50-over World Cup in 2023.
