India and South Africa are locking horns in a three-match T20I series. The first T20I at Thiruvananthapuram turned out to be a crazy one and the Men in Blue emerged triumphant. However, the second T20I is scheduled to take place on Sunday (October 2) in Guwahati.

Here we bring you the match preview for the second T20I between India and South Africa:

Team News:

India:

India have done well in the series so far and they will look to carry on the momentum from the first match. The Men in Blue, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, have been faring reasonably well in the bilaterals. The team won the series against Australia 2-1 and they will look to whitewash the Proteas this time around.

Predicted Playing XI:

Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Arshdeep Singh

Players to watch out for:

Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel

South Africa

South Africa, on the other hand, failed to put on a decent total on the board. Their middle order did not flourish and they had to pay the price for it. Barring Aiden Markram, the likes of Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw let the team down by not contributing. Also, Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw did not get off the mark in the game as the duo departed for a duck.

The Proteas will look to alter these and come back firing against India.

Predicted Playing XI:

Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi

Players to watch out for:

Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, Anrich Nortje

Pitch Report:

The teams winning the toss can bank on their bowlers and look to bowl first. As far as the history on this ground is concerned, Australia won against India while chasing, when they last played against the Men in Blue on this ground. The Proteas have a dynamic pace battery and they can walk the path of the Kangaroos as well.
