Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar heaps praise on star batter Dhruv Jurel after his magnificent batting on Day 3 of the fourth Test match, which puts the hosts in a decent position on February 25 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. Notably, England are trailing by 2-1 in the five matches of the Test series, and they managed to get 353 runs, but Dhruv Jurel's great knock of 60 runs from 149 balls featuring six boundaries and four sixes helped them stand in a great position against the strong visiting sides.

However, Sunil Gavaskar  feels that Dhruv Jurel was equally brillant from the bat as well as from the wicketkeeping and possessed lost-of-game awareness. The legendary cricketer says that the star batter is another MS Dhoni owing to his smartness as well as his ability to take innings deep to stand in a great position. Moreover, the former India skipper also talks about how MS Dhoni started his career as a wicketkeeper and how he turned out to be the legend of the game.

Just by looking at his game awareness, I want to say that he is another MS Dhoni: Sunil Gavaskar

"Of course he has batted well, but his keeping, his work behind the stumps has been equally brilliant. Just by looking at his game awareness, I want to say that he is another MS Dhoni in the making. I know there can never be another MSD but you know the presence of mind that he has, MSD also when he started, it was that. And Jurel has that game awareness. Street-smart cricketer," Sunil Gavaskar said on Sports 18 during commentary.

Meanwhile, the well-renowed cricket commentator says that Dhruv Jurel may have missed getting his hundred in the fourth Test game in Ranchi, but the 27-year-old cricketer will get it in the future for sure.

"Today he missed out on a century but make no mistake this young man will go on to score many centuries because of his presence of mind," he added further.
