India vs England third ODI Preview: Match Details, Pitch Details, Probable Playing XI

The Emirates Old Trafford at Manchester will bear witness to the third and final ODI of the three-match series between India and England on 17^TH July 2022. Both teams look to topple each other in their quest for the series victory. England will be riding high on confidence after thrashing the men-in-blue in the second ODI on Thursday by 100 runs. While Indian batting will be searching for answers to a lot of glaring problems staring at them right in the face.

India

The Indian team were looking to seal the series in the second ODI after decimating England in the first match. Everything seemed to be going right for them until they came to chase the modest total of 246. The Indian batters were found hiding from the ‘Topley Hurricane’ as they had no answers to the immaculate bowling display of the English bowlers led by Reece Topley. India would be hoping that their dismal performance in the second ODI was a ‘one-off’ bad day as they take the field tomorrow with their eyes set on the series trophy.

England

England made a terrific comeback in the second ODI after they were undone by a ‘Jasprit Bumrah’ masterclass in the first ODI. The lower-order batters guided the team to a decent total after some early blows. The bowlers were right on the money from the word ‘go’ as they stopped the star-studded Indian batting order a massive 100-run short of their total. England will be looking to replicate their clinical performance in the second ODI and clinch the series in a grand fashion. It should be noted that England haven’t lost an ODI series in their own Den since 2014 where they lost to India.
