India likely to have three debutants against West Indies in 1st T20I

Team India is likely to choose between Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan for the first T20I against West Indies. The Indian side are lifting the trophies in Test and ODI series, now for this format, Hardik Pandya is set to lead the Indian side for the five T20I series, and the playing XI is likely to have three debutants. As predicted Mukesh Kumar, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Tilak Varma can make their debuts in this series in the absence of senior players in 20-over format fixtures. 

However, India still appears to be a better unit, but on the Caribbean side, their key players have returned, such as Rovman Powell and Nicholas Pooran. The return of power hitters like Pooran, who recently shined in the Major League Cricket (MLC) Finals as he scored an unbeaten 137 runs to take his side to victory in the inaugural finals of MLC will be beneficial. 

Although the Indian side clearly has dominated the series so far, they also would have swept the Test series if it was not for rain on Day 5 of the final match, and in the second ODI they had a terrible batting failure, barring from these two moments, they dominated both the ODI and Test series with 2-1 and 1-0 respectively. Interestingly, the Indian team in this T20I series is fully packed with young players in front of two times champions. Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav will be the vice-captain and apart from skipper Pandya, Axar Patel will be the most experienced campaigner in the side.

One of the most exciting talents and Indian Premier League (IPL) prodigies, Tilak Varma, who has performed incredibly well for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a century in his debut Test, are likely to be top contenders to make their debut in this format. The Indian side is surely looking towards the T20 World Cup 2024 and with a team full of young players, they are likely to experiment with new talents in this format
