At the moment I'm trying: Kane Williamson

Williamson stated on Monday that he is healing from the injury, but his primary objective is to ensure that the knee ailment recovers before resuming play in the World Cup in India in October and November. He stated, "At the moment, I'm trying to take it week-by-week."

The 32-year-old continued, "I haven't had an injury this long before, but talking to other people who have had injuries shows that the journey is a bit longer, so if you think too far ahead, it might be a bit challenging Could."

Kane Williamson tried to stay confident about his recovery from a torn ACL and spoke about reaching out to other sportsmen in different sports who have had a similar setback.

He further stated, "It’s fairly common in cricket and other sports". "Actually a couple of guys in the Sevens (All Blacks Sevens) team that are perhaps five or six weeks ahead of where I am, so a bit of that and a bit of Googling and watching the NBA Finals and going ‘this guy (had the same injury)’, so certainly the curiosity around it has heightened… I’m not the first, and I won’t be the last, it’s a matter of working through the process."

The New Zealand captain was vital in reaching the 2015 and 2019 limited-over World Cup finals. In 2019, he was named Player of the Series after scoring 578 runs at an astounding average of 86.57, including two centuries.
