The clash between India and Pakistan is always a much-awaited one in any tournament that they play in. However, the teams only clash in multi-team tournaments and do not play bilateral series any longer.
While Pakistan is all set to host the next edition of the Asia Cup in 2023, Indian players travelling to the neighbouring country remains a big challenge for the Indian Cricket Board. India's visit to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023 is subject to clearance from the government at the time, but it is currently on the Indian Cricket Board's agenda.
A note distributed to state associations on Thursday ahead of the October 18 Annual General Meeting (AGM) details India's participation in next year's multilateral events. The Asia Cup, which will be held in Pakistan, is also on the agenda.

Pakistan is set to host the 50-over Asia Cup in the second half of 2023, and the World Cup in India will follow that. According to the AGM note, the Indian Cricket Board appears to be open to visiting Pakistan, which has been off limits since 2008, when India participated in an Asia Cup. "It will be subject to the clearance of the Government of India as always," said an Indian Cricket Board official when contacted by Cricbuzz.
In the meantime, archrivals India and Pakistan are set to meet in the 20-20 World Cup in Australia in 2022. The team led by Rohit Sharma and the team led by Babar Azam will lock horns on the 23rd of October. Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the extravagant clash.
The Men in Blue would like to avenge their defeat to Pakistan in the 20-20 World Cup last year. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam batted brilliantly to give the Men in Green a 10-wicket victory. They would hope to get a similar result this time as well.
