India all-set to tour Ireland for the T20 series: All you need to know about the series

The Indian team is set to tour Ireland for a two-match T20I match series under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.

The Indian Cricket Team is all set to tour Ireland for the two-match T20 series starting on 26th June. The squad for the series was announced on Wednesday. Hardik Pandya will be captaining the side in the absence of the senior players while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been appointed as the vice-captain.

The first match of the series will be played at The Village, Dublin on Sunday, 26th June, 022 from 9:00 pm (IST). The second match will be played at the same venue on Tuesday, 28th June 2022 at 9:00 pm (IST). The Indian squad features two new names as Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Tripathi finally got rewarded for their performances in the Indian T20 league. The two players had been knocking on the selectors’ door for an opportunity through their performances over the years.

The two teams have faced each other thrice in international cricket with India winning all the fixtures so far. The last time two teams met each other was in a 2 match T20 series in Ireland back in 2018.

The series will be the perfect platform for the new players in the squad to shine in the absence of the senior players and make a statement through their performances. Players like Dinesh Karthik, Sanju Samson, Deepak Hooda, and Ravi Bishnoi will be eager to get a place in the playing eleven and show their caliber to the team management.
