After the completion of the Indian Premier League 2023, the Indian team has now shifted their focus to the prestigious Test Championship finals. The team has reached London and has started preparing for the Aussies Test. Indian team is practising in a county club ground in London and will be keen to get that Test Mace back.

However, in a recent practice session, former India skipper Virat Kohli can be seen talking with youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal, who is on the reserve players list, has travelled to London along with India skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. He was seen having a chat with Kohli about batting. Kohli gave him some important batting lessons and helped the youngster to grow.

Notably, Jaiswal was not on the initial list of stand-by players but after Ruturaj Gaikwad withdrew from the tour,  he was asked to join the tour. Gaikwad is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend on June 3. Meanwhile, apart from Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav and Mukesh Kumar are also on the standby list.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a dream IPL season

In the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2023, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been phenomenal for the Rajasthan Royals. He has been awarded with Emerging Player of the Season award. Jaiswal has scored 625 runs in 14 innings at an average of 48.08. He single-handedly took RR to the last game when players like Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson failed.

However, India is set to face Australia in the finals of the Test Championship at the iconic Oval Cricket Ground in London from June 7. This is the second consecutive finals for Indian Team and they will be keen to clinch the trophy after facing a humiliating defeat in last year's finals. Last Year, New Zealand beat India by 8 wickets to clinch the inaugural title of the Test Championship.
