The Pakistan Cricket Team has had a journey to remember as the Men in Green qualified for the semi-finals of the 20-20 World Cup. They started poorly but came back well with back-to-back wins against South Africa before winning against Bangladesh to seal their semi- final route.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan social media team has gone on overdrive through the 20-20 World Cup 2022 putting out behind the scenes videos especially in the dressing room after the culmination of a game. The videos are shared by the PCB twitter handle, and you tube channel.

While it seems all well and good to showcase what is going on, Wasim Akram had a different point of view here is what he had to say, "If I was Babar, I would get hold of that guy who is making a video. Sometimes, certain things are personal. I am all for social media, players interacting with their fans and everything. But I have not seen any other team do it in this World Cup? So yeah, the urge to get extra numbers (followers, likes), cut it down. This is too much," Akram said on A-Sports.

Such things should be struck down immediately - Wasim Arkram

"There are recordings taking place all the time. Imagine if I am sitting and not knowing that someone is recording - a message that I want to give my team. Just tell him, 'Guys, relax for two days. Do it some other place but not dressing room."

Akram broached on this subject after a video was uploaded by the PCB on the day when Pakistan trounced Bangladesh and became 20-20 World Cup 2022 semi-finalists. In the video Babar was seen advising Mohammad Harris for getting out and not finishing the game for his team. He got out after making 31 off 18 balls and when Pakistan were seven short of the target.

Waqar Younis echoed Wasim Akram’s thoughts, this is what he had to say, "I 100 percent agree with you. Whatever happens inside the dressing room, should stay there. This is a problem not just now but earlier as well when a lot of information was leaked to the media - people used to scream, argue, fight. And now you yourself are recording and showing it to the world," Waqar added.
