In a heart-stopping incident, Rishabh Pant had met with a horrific car crash that injured him badly. He was driving from Delhi to Dehradun when the incident happened. Pant has suffered lacerations on his forehead, one just above his right eye. He also has suffered a ligament tear on his knee and abrasions on his back.

In all this, A Haryana Bus driver was among the persons who managed to take Rishabh Pant out of the SUV after the vehicle rammed into the road divider . He went on to say that he did not know about Pant’s wearabouts but he was quick to do the needful by calling an ambulance.

Sushil Mann who was driving the bus said that the SUV was being driven at breakneck speed and it was charging in from the opposite side before it came in close contact and collided with the divider. "I put my bus on the side and quickly ran towards the divider.

"I thought the car would flip under the bus as it was turning over and over before it stopped," he said. "The driver (Mr Pant) was half out of the window. He told me he's a cricketer," "I don't watch cricket and I didn't know this Rishabh Pant is. But others in my bus recognised him.

Pant revealed his identity to the bus driver and requested the driver to call his mother whose phone was switched off. "After removing Rishabh, I quickly searched the car to check if anyone else was there. I took out his blue bag and ₹ 7,000-Rs 8,000 rupees from the car and gave it to him in the ambulance."

The police have revealed that the main reason for the car crashing is due to Pant who slept while driving which caused him to lose control of the car. The SUV caught fire after it crashed. Pant has been in good form in Test Cricket. He has had a short but very impactful Test career for the national side so far. He was to report to the National Cricket academy ahead of the Australia Tour.
