Kane Williamson has been an integral part of the Hyderabad franchise since 2015. He showed his true worth when he replaced David Warner as captain in the 2018 edition. In that year, the Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the final.

The best part about Williamson was that he was gracious and performed to the best of his ability and scored runs for the Orange Army whenever he got a chance. But when he became captain in place of David Warner in 2018, he became a beast. He scored 735 runs in the 2018 edition and was one of the mainstays in the side.

In seven years, he has scored 2101 runs in 76 matches at an average of 36.02 and a strike rate of 126.03. He has 18 half centuries to his name in the Indian T20 League. At the Hyderabad side, he was best used as an anchor to take the innings through as he played in a lineup which had a lot of power hitters either side of him.

Since he has been released by the Hyderabad franchise, saveral reports suggest that he might go to the Chennai camp. This will be a dark day for the fans as he was a fan favourite at the Hyderabad camp. The fans used to adore him and gave him a huge star status.

The Hyderabad fans are reportedly not happy with this decision that has come about from the management of the Hyderabad side. If the rumours of him going to the Chennai franchise is true, then he will fit the bill as he will be another experienced T20 player, who will join the Chennai ranks.

He has a cool and calm demeanor like MS Dhoni and can play the same anchor role for the Chennai franchise as he did for a good number of years at Hyderabad.

Twitter was abuzz because of this sudden decision that took place. Let us take a look at the reactions here:
