It was yet another historic night for the white club from the Spanish capital as they defeated the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal to win the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 on Saturday. Interestingly, this is Real Madrid's fifth Club World Cup title in nine seasons and their 100th official title in club history. As many dubbed it, it was just a normal day in the life of Madridistas.

Real Madrid went into the final as favourites to lift the cup as Al-Hilal made their first appearance in the tournament's final. After Saturday's game, Al-Hilal became the first club outside Europe or South America to appear in the coveted tournament's final. However, the Saudi team could not do much against the attacking masterclass executed by the European champions.

Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde scored two goals each for Real Madrid

Real Madrid took the lead through Vinicius Junior in the 13th minute as Fede Valverde made it two for the Spanish giants just five minutes later. Luka Modric was at the heart of both the moves that led to Real Madrid's first two goals. Interestingly, Vini Jr and Valverde were the two players to score first in the semifinal against Egyptian side Al Ahly as well.

The side from Saudi Arabia tried to respond instantly, with Moussa Marega getting a goal back in the 26th minute ending the passage of goals in the first half. The second half saw goals from Karim Benzema and Fede Valverde restoring the two-goal cushion for Madrid. However, the final took a rather lousy turn, with Al-Hilal scoring again with Luciano Vietto in the 63rd minute. Vini Jr scored his second right after the introduction of Dani Ceballos in the game in the 69th minute. Ten minutes later, Vietto scored another for Al-Hilal giving the scoreline an unorthodox look for a final at 5-3, a figure sustained until the final whistle.

Here's how the fans reacted to Real Madrid scripting history yet again:
