Indian captain Rohit Sharma made himself unavailable for the first ODI against Australia due to family commitment. Rohit is not part of India's playing 11 in the ongoing match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where the hosts wrapped up the Aussie innings to 188 in 35.4 overs. The skipper took a break after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in which India won the series 2-1 and now a video of him dancing at his brother-in-law's wedding is going viral on social media.

The India opener was seen grooving on stage during his brother-in-law Kunal Sajdeh's wedding celebrations. Rohit and his wife Ritika Sajdeh dressed in traditional Indian attire and danced to the music beats. The video went viral in no time with fans praising the hitman's dance moves.

Talking about the ongoing first ODI, Hardik Pandya, who leads India in an ODI for the first time in Rohit’s absence, won the toss and elected to field first. India decided to go with four quick bowlers - Shardul Thakkur , Mohammed Shami, Pandya and Mohammed Siraj and two spinners - Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav. On the other hand, stand-in captain Steve Smith leads Australia while Pat Cummins decided to stay with his family in Sydney following the passing of his mother.

Aussie pacers' counter attack put India on the back

The Aussies suffered an early setback when Mohammad Siraj knocked out Travis Head for 5 runs in the second over. Mitchell Marsh replaced David Warner in the top order and played an aggressive innings along with skipper Steve Smith. Marsh looked set to score his second ODI century but ended up on 81(65) after being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. His blistering knock led the visitors to a respectable score when all the rest of the batsmen crumbled in front of the Indian bowlers. Siraj and Shami wreaked havoc for the visitors as both took three wickets each.

Meanwhile, chasing 189 runs, India got off to a terrible start with the loss of three wickets while scoring 25 runs in 7 overs. Ishan Kishan's poor run continues as the left-handed batter was dismissed for 3 runs by Marcus Stonis. Former India captain Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav were sent back cheaply by Mitchell Starc in back-to-back deliveries. With KL Rahul and Shubman Gill at the crease, India will want to build a good partnership between the two.

The series is crucial for both teams as the hosts will aim to retain their number one Cricket Governing Body ODI position while the visitors will want to win the series and clinch the number one spot.
