After losing to South Africa, India returned back to winning ways with a 5-run victory over Bangladesh on Wednesday in Adelaide. India were in a pretty good position at the end of the first innings as they had set a target of 185 runs.

However, Liton Das’ 21-ball half-century turned the tables and helped Bangladesh get a sensational start to the power play. By the end of the first six overs, Bangladesh had managed to score 60 runs without any loss of wickets. But rain intervened, thereafter, to help India and Bangladesh were given a revised target of 151 runs in 16 overs.

The play resumed but there was still a lot of water on the field. Liton Das, upon his return to the crease, slipped while taking a double off Ashwin on the very first ball and was run out on the next ball. Amidst that, there was one man, who was making sure that the Indian fielders don’t suffer an injury due to the wet outfield.

Raghavendra, who is part of India’s support staff, carried a water bottle and a brush to clean the bottom of the shoes of the Indian players to avoid any injury by slipping on the outfield. Many fans took notice of that and took to their social media handles to recognize the efforts of India’s side-arm thrower.

Raghu was making desperate efforts to avoid injury to the Indian players and not giving away runs unnecessarily by slipping on the rain-soaked Adelaide outfield.

India, meanwhile, registered their third win in four matches in the Super 12s on Wednesday. The victory against Bangladesh has also helped them take the number one spot on the points table in Group 2. Rohit Sharma and Co. will be playing their last match of the Super 12 stage against Zimbabwe at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
