Cristiano Ronaldo is having a tough time in the Saudi Arabian leagues, as his club Al Nassr was knocked out of the Kings Cup of Champions semi-finals by Al Wehda on Monday, April 24. Ronaldo's team had earlier been eliminated from the Saudi Super Cup and Riyadh Super Cup, and eventually missed out on top spot in the Saudi league. The latest 1-0 defeat against Al Wehda sealed another exit for the Riyadh-based club.

So far, Ronaldo has scored 11 goals for his new club in 13 games. However, the Portuguese superstar failed to score in an important clash in the Kings Cup. He only had one shot on target, a close-range effort in the first half that was stopped by keeper Munir Moahmedi.

Despite being reduced to 10 players early in the second half, Al Wehda won the crucial match on the back of Jean-David Beauguel's amazing bicycle kick goal in the first half. Ronaldo was disappointed with his side's result as he was seen reacting angrily to his own team's bench at half-time when his side were 1-0 down.

The Portugal captain tried to level the game with a left-footed strike from inside the box but the ball hit the bar and went wide. After their defeat, five-time Ballon d'Or winner was spotted on his knees with full disappointment.

Al-Nassr hopes to bounce back in Saudi Arabia Pro league

After being knocked out of the three major Saudi Arabia leagues, Ronaldo and Co are aiming to make a comeback in the Saudi Arabia Pro League, where they are currently second in the points table. Al-Ittihad are currently leading the league with a lead of 3 points than Al Nassr.

Ronaldo faced a lot of criticism and was brutally trolled by football fans on social media after their defeat against Al Wehda. He has failed to score in three consecutive matches for his new club. However, he is going good with his national team, scoring four times during the last international break. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr's next game is against Al-Raed on April 28.
