India will take on Bangladesh in the two-match Test series and they will be keen to make amends for their series loss in ODIs. They will try to come hard at Bangladesh in both Tests so that they can get some vital points in the World Test Championship and be in a position to get into the finals.

Rishabh Pant was rested for the ODIs against Bangladesh due to medical reasons and he will be aiming to get back amongst the runs in the Tests. He has not been in the best of form in ODIs. Since he scored his last ODI hundred against England in July, he has failed to register a century. In the ODI series against New Zealand, he scored just 32 runs from three ODIs.

Speaking on Pant, this is what Wasim Jaffer had to say, "Rishabh Pant has been disappointing in T20 cricket as well as ODIs for that matter, but he has got a small break. I'm sure his mind must have been refreshed after the break. He is a very important player for Team India and I feel his performances are necessary for the side," He said in an interaction with ESPNCricinfo.

I am expecting Virat Kohli to score big: Wasim Jaffer

Pant has been in good form in Test matches. He has proven himself by scoring hundreds in Australia, South Africa and England. Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli have not had the best of times in Test cricket this year. Kohli has scored only one half-century in Tests this year. Pujara will want to prove a point and take more responsibility as the vice-captain of the side for this series.

"The performances of Pujara, Kohli and Pant matter a lot. I am expecting a big score from Kohli in one contest, if not both the matches, because the pitch is really good to bat on and he looks in good form at the moment," Jaffer expected both the senior players to come good against Bangladesh. India will want to take revenge on Bangladesh for their 2-1 loss in the ODI series.
