Chennai Super Kings will be playing their 4th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Wednesday against Rajasthan Royals at home ground. They have started pretty well this season, winning 2 out of their first three matches.

It is worth mentioning that the upcoming match for Chennai will be a special occasion for the franchise and the fans as well as MS Dhoni will be leading the team for the 200th time in the history of the tournament.
India’s most successful captain will make a landmark appearance in front of his home fans. With that, he will also become the first player to ever lead a franchise for the 200th time in IPL.

The 41-year-old cricket has made Chennai Super Kings one of the most popular and successful franchises in the history of the tournament. Under his leadership, MS Dhoni has helped Chennai Super King lift the title on 4 occasions.

In 13 IPL seasons that CSK had been part of, they had managed to reach the playoffs on 11 occasions. Besides, they reached the finals on 9 occasions and won 4 times. MSD led the franchise in 199 matches and CSK managed to win 120 matches. They have a phenomenal win percentage of 58.96.

When asked about the momentous occasion ahead of the big game, here’s what Ravindra Jadeja said,

"What can I say, he is a legend of Indian cricket. So, I would like to wish him good luck. Hopefully, in his 200th game, we will win in Chepauk and all the fans will be happy, so we continue the momentum. Hopefully, we win tomorrow and we give him a gift on his 200th (IPL) match as captain," Jadeja told the press on the eve of the big-ticket contest in Chennai.
