India locked horns with Australia in the third and final match of the three-match ODI series which was a series decider as well. Australia’s captain Steve Smith chose to bat first against India in the series decider at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai after winning the toss. Australia won the match by 21 runs and leg spinner Adam Zampa was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant bowling performance and Mitchell Marsh was awarded the Player of the Series award.
In Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the first One-Day International between the two teams was played after India successfully defended its Border Gavaskar Trophy. The Men in Blue easily exceeded the 188-run mark that the Australians had set to win by five wickets. Nevertheless, their joy was only short as Australia won the second one-day international to tie the series by first dismissing India for 117 in Visakhapatnam and then successfully chasing it down without losing a wicket.

Deserved to lose. Most of Indian batsmen treating an international series as preparation for IPL.

Why do they continue to play a style of ODI cricket from the mid 2000s. Bad sign for World Cup

Australia was the last team to defeat India at home in a white-ball series back in 2019. Once again, they have done it after 4 years.
