Rahul Sharma, a former cricketer, took to Twitter to thank former India batter Gautam Gambhir for his crucial aid in the treatment of his unwell mother-in-law. For those who are unaware, Rahul's mother-in-law was critically ill as a result of a brain haemorrhage.
The former spinner said that it was Gambhir who came to his rescue at a crucial time in his personal life. He went on to say that the former Indian batter, with the help of his personal assistant, Gaurav Arora, found the best neurologist for his mother-in-law and got her hospitalised at the Sir Ganga Ram hospital in New Delhi.
Rahul went on to say that the surgery went well and that he appreciated everyone who helped him during this trying period. Following the successful surgery, Rahul took to Twitter to post images of his mother-in-law.
“Last month was very difficult. My mother-in-law had brain haemorrhage, she was in critical condition. Thank you Gautam Gambhir paaji & ( his PA Gaurav Arora) who helped me in such difficult time & he provided the best neurologist and hospital in such a short time and the surgery has been done successfully. Now she is absolutely fine. Thanks to Gangaram hospital and their staff for excellent care. Special thanks to Dr. Manish Chugh, you compassionate treatment is miraculous,” Rahul wrote on Twitter.

In the meantime, Gambhir is the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing IPL 2023. Lucknow has played 11 games this season and is currently ranked third in the IPL points table with 11 points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.294.
KL Rahul's injury, which will keep him out for the remainder of the season, dealt a big setback to the squad. It will be intriguing to watch if Lucknow can restore its winning ways under Krunal Pandya's leadership. LSG will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 13.
