Lower Bracket Quarterfinals
Soniqs Vs w7m esports (0-2)
DarkZero Vs G2 Esports (0-2)
G2 Esports defeated DarkZero in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals in a clean 2-0 victory. DarkZero did try their best to match up, but G2 was running them down. The team dropping in the lower brackets sure ruined runs for many teams.
On the other side, w7m esports defeated Soniqs also with a dominating 2-0 victory. The team has been surviving pretty well in the lower brackets and is just a few steps short of reaching the grand finals.
It remains to be seen if w7m lives another day to face Virtus.pro, or if G2 will mark the end of their run. If G2 wins and reaches the lower bracket final, both teams will be fighting for the championship crown along with payback after losing to Faze.
The grand finals will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, featuring a prize pool of $3 million. The winning team take $1 million.
