Intel Extreme Masters Katowice; Grand Finals and overall standings

Six teams entered the Playoffs and only one emerged as victor in the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice grand finals. The grand finals featured Team Spirit and Faze Clan in a face-off once again.

Sadly for Faze, Team Spirit bested them once again in a best-of-five final with a crushing 3-0 defeat. Faze did not get a chance to make space for a comeback as Donk from Team Spirit was mowing them down.

With his addition, Team Spirit has been consistently winning multiple LAN events since last year. They also saw only one map loss in the group stage against Natus Vincere. The team, however, won the best-of-three.

3. Team Falcons - 1,200 Blast Leaderboard Points
4. MOUZ - 1,200 Blast Leaderboard Points
5. ENCE - 500 Blast Leaderboard Points
6. G2 Esports - 500 Blast Leaderboard Points
7. Natus Vincere - 300 Blast Leaderboard Points
8. Heroic - 300 Blast Leaderboard Points

Along with the IEM Katowice 2024 trophy, Team Spirit has also acquired a direct spot for the IEM Cologne 2024, BLAST Premier World Final and the Esports World Cup 2024.

Faze misses out on their revenge

FaZe Clan previously faced a similar defeat by Team Spirit in the group stage Upper Bracket Finals. This disrupted their plans to directly qualify for the semifinals in the playoffs. Not to mention that the defeat was also 2-0.

Working their way up the ladder, Faze even defeated G2 Esports and MOUZ in dominating victories. However, they could not pass the final hurdle which was Team Spirit.
