Horizon Forbidden

Sequel for one of the beloved PlayStation franchises Horizon, Forbidden West is a direct sequel to Zero Dawn. The game was originally released back in 2022 for PlayStation and is now being ported to PC.

The previous instalment also saw a PC port and was very well received by the gamers. Now its sequel has a Steam page with a release date of March 21. The game will also be available on Epic Games Store.

With another PlayStation game getting a PC release, fans are wondering if other masterpieces like Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima and Demon's Souls will also make a PC release.

Features

Players will get a complete version of Forbidden West including the DLC in a single game like other PC ports for PlayStation games. Pre-ordering rewards include Blacktide Dye Outfit and Blacktide Sharpshot Bow. Steam exclusive rewards include Nora Legacy Outfit and Nora Legacy Spear.

Apart from that, the game is also updated for Ultrawide display support and DualSense controller support. Players will also be able to enjoy a higher frame rate as it is not locked to 60fps. DLSS 3, FSR and Intel XeSS are also supported.

The Horizon Dilemma

The original Horizon Zero Dawn release, a few days before the game of the year for 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While Zero Dawn was a good game, it was overshadowed by BOTW.

A similar thing happened with Forbidden West, which was released sometime before Elden Ring in 2022. Now, the PC port for Forbidden West is set to release a day before yet another most anticipated game this year.

Fans of the series fear that something similar might happen once again. Players are also wondering about the reasoning behind releasing the game so close to other popular titles.
