Former WWE superstar Bray Wyatt passes away at 36 due to heart attack

Former WWE champion and Wyatt family member Windham Rotunda, aka Bray Wyatt, passed away at 36 on Thursday. According to the latest news reports, Wyatt died due to a heart attack and prolonged health issues. It's worth noting that WWE content officer and 14-time World Champion Triple H revealed his demise. After the news broke, a wave of condolences and disbelief erupted on social media.

Triple H took to Twitter and wrote, "Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life, Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, unexpectedly passed earlier today". Meanwhile, WWE also expressed condolences. In a statement, the brand said, "WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, August 24, at age 36. WWE extends its condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends, and fans."

Meanwhile, former WWE superstar and Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, also expressed his disbelief. He said that he was heartbroken by the news and couldn't believe it. In his post, he wrote, "I'm heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. I always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. I loved his presence, promos, in-ring work, and connection with the WWE universe. Very unique, cool, and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling. I'm still processing losing the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today. My love, light, strength, and mana go to the Rotunda family and the Funk family during this tough, heartbreaking time. As always, ‘thank you for the house’."

Bray Wyatt is a generational wrestler and entertainer

It's worth noting that the Rotunda family has been one of the biggest entertainers in WWE history. They had several clashes with various groups, including the Wyatt family vs. The Shield. Bray Wyatt was the third-generation wrestler in his family. His father, Mike Rotunda, is a WWE Hall of Famer. Waytt's grandfather, Robert Windham, was also a famous wrestler in America during the 1980s.

Apart from them, Wyatt's two uncles, Barry Windham and Kendall Windham, also wrestled in the WWE. They have been phenomenal entertainers, and Bray Wyatt has been the most successful among them. Wyatt has won the WWE World Championship once and the WWE Universal Championship twice. However, since February 2023, he has not been seen on television due to an injury and has been rehabbing with his family. His demise has left a void in the WWE universe that will never be filled again.
