Former Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza gets engaged to her boyfriend Arthur Borges at a private party. The couple has an amazing love story which was witnessed by the whole tennis star. The Spanish-Venezuelan tennis champion's love tale began in 2021 when she met Borges by chance in New York's Central Park. Borges asked her for a selfie and that started their love story.

Muguruza also accepted that while sharing her pictures of the engagement ceremony on Instagram. She captioned the pictures with, “You had me at ‘Hello.'" Notably, ahead of her US Open Game in 2021, Muguruza was walking around in the Central Park of New York where she met Borges first. Borges wished her luck for the game and asked for a selfie and since then the couple is together.

Talking about her boyfriend Garbine Muguruza says that she likes him because he is not from a Tennis background and his character is more like her. “He’s a mix, like me. I’m half-Venezuelan and half-Spanish, so we understand each other. We share that feeling of being citizens of the world,” the former Wimbledon champion explained.

Notably, After almost two years of dating, the pair got engaged. Muguruza described the proposal as "very romantic," admitting that she was surprised when her partner got down on one knee and proposed. “I was thinking something else and then when he proposed I started crying. I didn’t know how to react. I said yes amid tears, it was very romantic,” she recalled.
