Former Indian spinner clears air after his tweets on Ravichandran Ashwin went viral

Ravichandran Ashwin is getting ready for the 2023 ODI World Cup. The 37-year-old was drafted into the team to replace Axar Patel. This is the third World Cup Campaign and possibly his last as per his own admission.

The veteran Indian bowler was under the pump recently. One former Indian star had taken to Twitter to speak about Ashwin’s bowling action. The tweets went viral very quickly and the former Indian player was criticized by the fans.

Ashwin for his part has reached out to the former Indian player in question via a phone call. The situation was put to rest by the ex-India star himself on Saturday when he took to the social media platform.

Ashwin’s phone call settles all doubts 

Laxman Sivaramakrishnan is a noted cricket commentator and expert of the game as well as a former Indian star. The 57-year-old was recently in the news on Friday for putting out a tweet on Ravichandran Ashwin. The former India star put up the short screenshot from a video of Ashwin bowling in the NCA under the watchful eyes of VVS Laxman.

If you at his lower body it is closed. This leads to a lack of Synchronization, Ash needs to quickly correct this to be more effective”

Ashwin part of the 2023 ODI World Cup with the team in Guwahati seemingly reached out to the 57-year-old. The Indian off-spinner had a lengthy and hearty chat with Sivaramakrishnan. The former India star though was taken aback by the amount of criticism he had to face over his tweet.

The first warm-up for India ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup was washed out. The game at Guwahati saw the toss take place under sunny weather. India had won the toss and chose to bat first. That sadly was the only action that the fans witnessed as rains pelted down to end the day with no action taking place.
