The blockbuster encounter between India and Pakistan on Sunday resulted in a lot of debates over a few incidents. The last over of the match bowled by M Nawaz was one of the most talked about incidents. Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik ran three runs off a no-ball bowled by Nawaz in the final over of India's innings.

Virat Kohli got bowled but the ball ricocheted after hitting the stumps and went toward the vacant third-man position. As a result, the batters ran three runs, which didn’t go down well with the Pakistan cricketer.

Recently, former Australian cricketer, Mark Taylor also gave his two cents on the incident. Taylor said that the batters shouldn’t be allowed to score runs once you get out-bowled even if it’s a no-ball.

"I think if the ball hits the stumps you're actually gaining an unfair advantage. Firstly, in the situation like we saw on Sunday night, the ball can deflect anywhere, and secondly, if the fielding team is trying to run the batter out, the bails are already on the ground and you've got to remove the stump, so that's harder as well," Taylor said.

"I think if the batter is bowled or caught off the free hit, you're not out but the ball should then be dead, that would be fair and reasonable. You've got the advantage of not being out off a free hit, but you shouldn't benefit a second time from what would normally be considered a dismissal."

India managed to chase down a 160-run total against Pakistan and earned their first win in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The Men in Blue are currently playing their second match against the Netherlands in Sydney. At the time of writing, India have scored 106 runs for the loss of 2 wickets after 14 overs. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are unbeaten at the crease on 29 (27) and 12 (6) respectively.

Skipper, Rohit Sharma, earlier, set the tone with a blistering knock of 53 runs in 39 balls, including 3 sixes.
