Alejandro Garnacho

Rumours spread in the football world regarding 19 yr old Manchester United left winger Alejandro Garnacho. The youngster was getting targeted with claims that his fellow countryman and football legend Lionel Messi had unfollowed the young player due to his love for Ronaldo. One of the bold claims was made by none other than Man united legend Rio Ferdinand. This caused a lot of heat as Garnacho had mentioned that he was a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.

One of the claims was made by Manchester United legend and football expert Rio Ferdinand. The situation was further aggravated when Garnacho scored a bicycle kick goal against Everton at Goodison Park last month. With this the rumours kept spreading questioning Garnacho’s loyalty. These speculations also caused Garnacho’s brother to lash out at ferdinand on Social Media stating that whatever Ferdinand said was a lie and Garnacho was fan of both the players.

Leandro Parades give eye opening statement

Shedding light on the situation, Argentina MidFielder Leandro Parades stated that it is normal for the youngster to be a fan of Ronaldo saying “We joked about it with him. He is very shy and does not answer. Poor guy, we drove him crazy. We also talked to him about what the group is, somehow we try to make them feel part of it and feel comfortable. Although in this case he got very nervous and couldn't talk,But as he said, I think he is his idol, he always follows him a lot and he plays quite similarly. So it's normal, nothing happens. Obviously, when he comes to the national team he has to change a little bit because there is ours”. This was a statement made by the world cup winner while speaking  Via Dsports.

This statement was clear enough to explain that the loyalty of the player will remain for the club or country he plays for. It is not necessary for players to idolise only the players associated with their country. The statement by Parades should be enough to stop the unnecessary rumours around  Garnacho.
