Here is a statement that is issued jointly by Nike and US State Soccer said in a joint statement which said, "The home uniform is anchored in a timeless red, white, and blue color scheme, while drawing inspiration from the United States' diversity and storied legacy across a variety of sports, leagues, and associations.” Twitter was abuzz as fans expressed their frustrations and disappointment with regard to the jersey.
Let us take a look at the reactions here:
The Soccer World Cup shirt, design , and colors, are terribly lacking. The reason is that FIBA, the US World Cup organization, doesn’t see US soccer a serious competing team. There is no energy or excitement for a low regarded team with a very small fan base. No one knows the US

Terrible. No thought put into it at all it seems. Just quickly make a logo and stick it on somewhere.

It's definitely boring I think the blue would be better

You'rw right , it looks boring, FIRE the designer, it would look better with that color, red / blue across the front and back, to match with the sleeves. .

My favorite, 2014, navy blue
Probably the 2012 home (Waldo) but I liked a lot of them. The current ones are at the bottom of my list. pic.twitter.com/dGRnnXIzwL

You're right, it's a bit boring. I thought the same when mine arrived but will wear it proudly. Heading to Qatar next week. GO USA! pic.twitter.com/svgmlFDXAa
