Group H brought about two games of utmost importance. Brazil and Switzerland have advanced while Serbia and Cameroon have crashed out of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Serbia vs Switzerland (2-3)
Switzerland had a golden opportunity to get into the Round of 16 with a win and that is what they did. Playing against Serbia, the European team got a 2-3 win in Group H to Round 16 with 6 points in 3 matches.
Xgerdab Shaqiri opened the scoring for the Switzerland side with a goal in the 20th minute. Aleksandar Mitrovic drew the game in the 26th minute and Dusan Vlahovic took the lead in the 35th minute. Switzerland had more in the game as they scored two more games in the 44th minute (Breel Embolo) and 49th minute (Remo Freuler) to give Switzerland a lead in the game and held till the end to win the match. As a result, they won the game and have qualified for the Round of 16 from Group H.
Cameroon vs Brazil (1-0)
Brazil, the favorites of FIFA World Cup 2022 were given a scare by Cameroon as they won the match 1-0 in the last match of Group H. Vincent Adoubakar scored the only goal of the match in 90+2 minutes and was later red carded in the next minute. Brazil despite loss have moved onto the Round of 16 and have joined the other 15 teams into the Round of 16.
