Fans are enjoying their childhood heroes fighting it out yet again in the Road Safety World Series 2022. Holkar Stadium hosted the eleventh match between Australia Legends and Bangladesh Legends. The game turned out to be a cracker with the two teams putting on a neck-to-neck fight.

The Aussie skipper Shane Watson won the toss and elected to field first. One can understand that it was a gamble given that the Bangladesh team could defend it down. However, the Bengal Tigers got off to a mediocre start as they lost two wickets within three overs.

In the earlier days, people used to laud the Bangladesh players for their grit and determination. The batters proved that the last night as they bounced back after losing a couple. John Hastings’ poor fourth over helped Bangladesh Legends make a move as they bagged 45 runs at the end of the powerplay.

Nazmus Sadat kept ticking the ball in the middle overs and helped Bangladesh Legends reach the 100-run mark. Despite losing wickets in quick succession, the Bengal legends managed to put 158 runs on board on the back of a stellar finish from Elias Sunny.

Bangladesh Legends crumble in the final over

Australia Legends’ skipper Shane Watson and Cameron White opened the innings, and the latter perished on the sixth ball. One could never forget the former’s ability to hit fours and sixes and Watson replicated the same in the powerplay.

Callum Ferguson, who witnessed the wrath from the other end, joined the fun. Bangladesh Legends’ bowlers failed to control the Australia Legends’ batters as they kept hitting it hard. However, Elias Sunny, who outclassed with the bat, stunned everyone with the ball as well.

The all-rounder picked up a three-for in quick time and made things tougher for Australia Legends. With as many as 21 requiring off the final five balls, Brad Haddin produced a stunner to seal things off for Australia Legends.

The match turned out to be a cracker and Twitter users came up with a lot of interesting tweets. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets:
