A new unwanted record is created by Los Angeles Knight Riders in the ongoing Major League Cricket 2023 as they were bundled out for a total of just 50 runs, which is the least total by a team in the league. Chasing 156, Knight Riders were blown away by the bowling of MI New York.

On a slow wicket in Dallas, MI New York won the toss and elected to bat first. In their 20 overs, New York scored 155 runs, thanks to a great finish from Tim David. It was a good total on a slow wicket. For Knight Riders, Ali Khan, Corne Dry, and Adam Zampa claimed two wickets each. Sunil Narine bowled an economical spell and controlled the flow of runs from his end.

50 All out in 13.5 overs!

156 was not particularly tough. But the bowling attack of New York was too good. With the new ball, the bowling duo of Noshthush Kenjige and Trent Boult rattled the top order of Knight Riders. While the spinner bowled accurate lines and unfoxed the batters with his spin, Boult troubled the batters with his swing as usual.

Kenjige bowled 3 overs, conceded only 7 runs., and got the wickets of Martin Guptill and Jaskaran Malhotra. Boult got the wickets later in his innings. The left-arm pacer from New Zealand bowled 2.5 overs, conceded only 10 runs, and claimed the wickets of Ali Khan and Lockie Ferguson.

With the progression of the game, other bowlers from MI New York joined the party. Kagiso Rabada was at his usual best. The pacer from South Africa claimed the wickets of Rilee Rossouw and Nitish Kumar. In the process, the right-arm pacer conceded only 16 runs in his three overs and also bowled a maiden over. Kieron Pollard and Ehsan Adil also bowled well. The two pacers claimed a couple of wickets each and conceded only 9 and 7 runs respectively from their end. Knight Riders were dismissed to a total of just 50 runs in 13.5 overs.
