The Lanka Premier League Final was a thrilling encounter that captivated cricket fans around the world. The two teams, filled with talented players, battled it out on the field with great skill and determination. The Final is set to be played on 20th August 2023 Sunday between B-Love Kandy and Dambulla Aura in Colombo. 

B-Love Kandy beat Galle Titans by 34 runs in Qualifier 2 played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (20) to enter the final of Lanka Premier League 2023. Wanindu Hasaranga was named player of the match for his 30 balls 48 and 2/21. 

Wanindu Hasaranga has once again showcased his exceptional skills by overtaking Babar Azam to become the leading run-scorer in the Lanka Premier League 2023. With a remarkable score of 267* Hasaranga has left cricket enthusiasts in awe of his batting prowess.

Fans have reacted on Twitter(X), saying Barber had only one record of having the leading run scorer in the league but not even that has been overtaken by Hasaranga, fans also said Hasaranga will perform well in LPL but gains to deliver the same in IPL, there is a lot of buzz going on this phenomenal all-rounder around the social media.

Moreover, Hasaranga's contributions are not limited to batting alone. He has also emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far, with an impressive tally of 17 wickets. This showcases his versatility and all-round capabilities as a cricketer. 

This has demonstrated some potential to the Sri Lanka team by him before the commencement of the Asia Cup and World Cup. There is no doubt that he will be a vital player for Sri Lanka in the World Cup as the Matches will be held in India, which will most likely be more beneficial to spinners, thus Hasaranga will make full use of it, and the squad will be looking for a favourable outcome from him.
