The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a mega sporting event that draws in massive crowds every year. It is not just a platform for showcasing the best cricketers in the world, but it also generates a lot of revenue for the organizers, sponsors, and broadcasters. However, the recent report regarding the black marketing of IPL tickets has left many fans disappointed.
According to the report, tickets worth Rs 750 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) matches at the Chepauk Stadium are being sold for a staggering Rs 5000 in the black market. The limited availability of tickets has given rise to a situation where only a few lucky fans can watch the game from the stadium, while others have to resort to purchasing tickets at inflated prices from the black market.
This has angered many fans who feel that the tickets should be sold through a fair and transparent system. They believe that all cricket fans should have an equal opportunity to watch their favorite teams play in the stadium, and not just the corporates, celebrities, government officials, and event administrators who get preferential treatment.
It is worth noting that Chennai is a city that loves its cricket, and CSK is a team that enjoys massive support from the local fans. The prospect of watching MS Dhoni play in his final year with the team has only added to the frenzy. The black marketing of tickets has made it even more difficult for fans to get a chance to see their hero in action.
In conclusion, it is disappointing to see the black marketing of IPL tickets, especially for a team like CSK that has such a massive fan following. The organizers must ensure that the tickets are sold through a transparent system that gives equal opportunities to all cricket fans, and not just a select few.
Here's how Twitter reacted :Â

Online sale is a fraud here, they hardly sell 30 percent tickets online.
Major propertion of tickets are retained for tnca staff members , and india cements.
Then these retained tickets are sold for a high price outside the stadium.
It's a scam Chepauk
This is utter failure from management side , this could have been avoided by a great franchise like CSK a 4 times IPL champion
