New Zealand star cricketer Kane Williamson is one of the most admired cricketer in the world. The ace Kiwi star has scored 8124 runs in 94 Tests and 6554 runs in 161 ODI games. He has also been the fruitful skipper of the Black Caps, as he led his side to many wins in all formats of the game. 

Notably, Williamson made his debut in 2010, and with his consistent and dominating performance, he was added to the Fab Four group along with Virat Kohli, Joe Root, and Steve Smith. In the test, the right-handed batter has 28 centuries and 33 half-centuries, scoring with an average of above 54. 

It is pertinent to mention that Kane recently suffered an injury during the opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, so now, after recovering from the misfortunes, he has joined his national side to make a comeback before the ODI World Cup 2023. Earlier, it was said that he would miss the upcoming marquee event as, after scans, it was revealed that he had a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and needed surgery. 

Williamson's presence in the Black Caps squad is very essential because, in the last 15 years, he has been the premium player for his side. During his captaincy tenure, he led his side to victory in the 2021 World Test Championship (WTC) Final. He was also was the skipper when New Zealand lost the Final of the 2019 ODI World Cup against England in super overs. 

Kane Williamson will be hopeful of lifting the trophy in ODI World Cup 2023- 

Interestingly, the Black Caps were runner-ups in the last two editions of the ODI World Cup, and in both squads, veteran Kiwi batter Kane Williamson was present. In nine matches of the 2015 WC, he scored one fifty in the tournament under Brendon Mccullum's captaincy, while in 2019, he was awarded Player of the Tournament for his two centuries as he scored 578 runs in 10 matches, with a best score of 148 runs. The Black Caps will be hopeful that Williamson will be fit again to play his most likely last ODI World Cup.
