The 3rd Test between India and England ended in a landslide victory for India as they beat the visitors by a margin of 434 runs. This is the biggest Test win for India in a Test match. There was hardly a moment where England were in the game at all with batters except for Ben Duckett failing to score big and bowlers leaking runs. With the hosts taking a 2-1 lead in the series, England will be under pressure as they have to win the next two games to take the series. India will also be looking to seal the series in Ranchi as well.

Even though Ravindra Jadeja deservingly won the man of the match for his century in the first innings and took 7 wickets in the match, it was the innings from Yashasvi Jaiswal that had impressed everyone in the second innings. Jaiswal is currently the leading run-scorer in the series with 545 runs to his name at an average of 109. His performance in this series already includes two amazing double centuries. Jaiswal with this is already getting praised for his attacking style of cricket and incredible technique.

Jaiswal enters the record books

Yashasvi Jaiswal had brought up his second double-century in Test matches in the recently concluded game. Jaiswal who had failed in the first innings of the match had a point to prove in the second one. Jaiswal scored a phenomenal 214 runs from just 236 deliveries. This knock included 14 fours and 12 maximums, which is the most number of sixes for an Indian batter and the joint most number of sixes in a Test innings. The 22-year-old southpaw shares this record with none other than Pakistan legend Wasim Akram. Wasim might be known mostly for his bowling spells, but was no mug with the bat either having the highest score of 257 in Test matches which he scored against Zimbabwe.

Jaiswal is already establishing himself as one of the best young batters for India. He is already averaging over 70 in the 7 Test matches he has played so far. He is going from strength to strength in his international career no matter which format he plays. With knocks like these, the upcoming star is destined for greatness. Everybody will want him to continue his great performances this season and eventually be an established opener in the setup. There are great things ahead of the young star and he is already looking good.
