WATCH: Kiwi batter Devon Conway speaks in Tamil

The Chennai Super Kings(CSK) are no doubt one of the best Indian Premier League(IPL) teams in the tournament. MS Dhoni and his men will go into IPL 2024 as defending champions after winning their 5th title. They have the joint most IPL titles along with Mumbai Indians(MI) in IPL history and will look to increase the goldware in the next season. There have been a lot of great players in the CSK team who have played a lot of great innings. They were able to get some very talented players last season as well and will hope that they repeat the same performance.

One of the star performers for CSK last season was New Zealand opener Devon Conway, who is one of the great upcoming players for his side. Conway had an impressive season where he scored 692 runs in 16 matches at an extraordinary average of 51.69. The 32-year-old Southpaw is known for his flashy drives and has been great for his national side with over 3500+ runs in international cricket. The CSK franchise will want this explosive opener to be at his best and deliver another impactful performance.

During the New Zealand vs Pakistan series, there were some Indian fans from Tamil Nadu who were present at the ground. Those fans were taking videos of the great sportsman while he was signing autographs. Conway replied to the video using a Tamil phrase saying “Nice video Machan”. This took a lot of fans by surprise seeing him use the phrase and suggest that Conway has learnt a lot during the IPL in the time he has spent with the CSK franchise. This great engagement among the fans shows why he is one of the best Kiwi batters this season.

These were certainly great scenes with Conway keeping all his fans happy and the CSK franchise can’t wait to see him perform. Conway has already achieved a lot in his short career and it will be no surprise if he is still playing his best and scoring runs consistently. We are sure to get even greater scenes from the man of the match of the IPL 2023 final and great to see his fans from India still come to cheer him while he is playing against Pakistan. We hope that Conway can live up to these high expectations.
