There have been a lot of upcoming Indian players who have come from the U-19 circuit and have gone on to have great careers. The likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are one of those big examples. These players came into recognition after their performance in the U-19 World Cup and are now one of the biggest stars of Indian cricket. This is one platform where players are also challenged immensely with some great competition among the biggest cricketing nations. The Indian Premier League(IPL) has also played a big role in setting the careers of these young upcoming stars.
One of the current youngsters who is currently in the limelight is Maharashtra’s 18-year-old all-rounder Arshin Kulkarni. The all-rounder had some great performances in the Maharashtra Premier League(MPL) which resulted in him getting selected in the India U-19 side. He has also performed well in his U19 List A career as well where he has performed impressively scoring 206 runs in his 5 matches at an average of 51.50 and taking 5 wickets. This performance has also booked him a place in the upcoming U19 World Cup 2024 and an IPL contract with the Lucknow SuperGiants.
Arshin meets his idol
Arshin being a terrific all-rounder himself considers South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis as his idol.it is no surprise since Kallis was one of the greatest all-rounders of all time with more than 25000 runs and 500+ wickets in international cricket. Arshin was really excited and happy to meet him at the airport and after getting an autograph was also seen touching his feet on social media. This was a real fanboy moment for the young star and was great to see him smiling and showing respect to the man himself.

This is definitely a great moment for any young cricketer to finally meet his idol who he has only witnessed on his TV screen and posters. The reaction of Arshin shows that no matter how your natural talent may make you look like a superhero, you are still a human who has his idols who you still celebrate as a god. We hope the blessings from Kallis will assure him a great future ahead with a lot of cricket coming in the future. Arshin will always remember this moment and will take this confidence in the upcoming U19 World Cup which he will be featuring.
