Virat Kohli is currently India’s best batter on-field and he has been a top performer for India for quite some years now but it’s his off-the-field popularity that makes him the biggest sporting icon of the current generation. It would not be wrong to say that Virat has made Cricket famous among people in those countries where the presence of the sport is almost non-existent.
In recent times we have come across some videos where some prominent celebrities who don’t have any idea about the sport of Cricket talk about the cult of Virat Kohli or how famous he is among people and how many followers he has on Instagram. Virat Kohli currently has 264 million people following him on Instagram and he is the third most followed athlete on that particular social media platform that speaks a volume about the craze of Kohli.

Adding to the phenomenon, Italian female footballer Agata Isabella Centasso declared herself as a Virat Kohli fan while reacting to a random user on “X’ formerly Twitter by posting Virat Kohli’s picture with a GOAT sign which proved that she is also a Kohli fan just like millions all over the world.
