Finally reason for Kohli's absence from the Test series is revealed
Kohli was named in India's Test squad for the ongoing five-match home series against England. Days before the start of the series, he withdrew from the squad due to personal reasons. He was expected to join the camp for the final three Tests, but that did not happen as the Indian Cricket Board confirmed that the star batter would miss the entire series.
Notably, this is the first time in his 13-year career that Kohli has missed an entire Test series. There was no update on what's going on with the cricketer and speculations were rife that the couple is gearing up for the birth of their second child. It was further compounded when former South African captain AB de Villiers revealed that his friend is going to be blessed with another child. He later apologised for spreading 'false information', but now things have turned out to be true.
