There have been a lot of T20 leagues going on between domestic and international teams. However, there is one league which was enjoyed by the people even without any professional cricketers. The league is known as the Celebrity Cricket League(CCL), where everyone’s favourite film stars and entertainers were displaying their cricketing skills. The league started way back in 2011 and has now become a popular cricket league among the masses.

Since this league has gone on for more than a decade, it will be interesting to see the biggest moments in the tournament. They might not be professional cricketers, but we still cannot count these people out of the game. Through these moments they had shown us that they can easily entertain the audiences on and off the field. These moments have been some of the most iconic among both cricket and silver screen fans.

5. Kiccha and Sengupta drama

There is no doubt that Kiccha Sudeep and Jisshu  Sengupta are some of the best actors in their regional films. The match between Bengal Tigers and Karnataka Bulldozers in 2016 was not a respectful moment between the two. After the Bulldozers lost a crucial wicket of their captain Pradeep, Jisshu gave an aggressive reaction towards Sudeep. This didn’t sit well with anyone on the Karnataka Bulldozers' side who found this disrespectful.

4. Ravi Kishan’s great bowling spell

Ravi Kishan is no doubt a legend in the Bhojpuri film industry and was one of the big players for the Bhojpuri Dabbang in the league as well. The year was 2020 and Ravi Kishan bowled an important spell to restrict the Karnataka Bulldozers. His clever and accurate bowling was one of the most important moments in the game. This showed that Ravi was a box office success both on and off the screen.

3. Bobby Deol’s match-winning bowling performance

Bobby Deol was one of the important players for the Mumbai Heroes in the CCL. He showed that in the 2021 season with his amazing bowling spell against the Telugu Warriors. It was Bobby Deol’s deceiving deliveries that put the batters under pressure during this match. There were a lot of plays and misses during his spell and he had shown his great skills in the game in front of thousands of people.

2. The Karnataka- Kerala thriller

The 2016 season saw the Karnataka Bulldozers and the Kerala Strikers in one of the most thrilling matches in CCL history. The game went down the wire as the Strikers were struggling to score a total of 168 set by the Bulldozers. This was one of the thrilling games we never thought we would witness in the CCL. This is what got the tournament to great heights in 2016. The performances of some of the players were exceptional as well with the likes of Rajeev Pillai and Madan Mohan being the unsung heroes of the Strikers in the end.

1. Hardy Sandhu explosive half-century

It was the 6th season of the CCL with a new team in Punjab De Sher formed. One of the biggest stars of the team was singer and actor Hardy Sandhu. His match-winning half-century vs Bengal Tigers was one of the best innings in CCL history. Hardy was striking some massive sixes during this innings, getting his team out of jail in the process. This was an iconic inning where Hardy was playing like a professional. With this performance, it is no surprise that in the future he was chosen to play the role of Madan Lal in 83.
